GivingTuesday

The season of giving has arrived, and we believe in strength in numbers, which is why we have joined forces with Share Charlotte’s #GivingTuesdayCLT Campaign. We invite you to partner with us (and other local nonprofits) to make a difference in our community.

How to show your support:

Purchase supplies from our Amazon wishlist

These supplies help housing-challenged individuals with basic household items needed at move-in.

Make a monetary donation through Share Charlotte

Every donation counts. From $50 to $5,000, monetary donations impact our cause on an individual level. Your donation can support our mission in a variety of ways:

  • $50 pays for a rental application fee for one adult.
  • $100 covers a utility deposit to establish a new service.
  • $250 contributes to the recruitment of a new housing provider.
  • $500 covers a security deposit.
  • $1,000 helps to clear past utility or rent balances that create a barrier to new housing.

We appreciate any and all donations and accept them on our website throughout the year.

What is #GivingTuesdayCLT?

Share Charlotte’s annual #GivingTuesdayCLT allows for local Queen City nonprofits, corporations, small businesses, community organizations, and individuals to work together to support each other’s desire to do good for the area. In 2021 alone, they left a $5.2 million impact on local nonprofits and allowed for over 500 hours of volunteer time. This year, #GivingTuesdayCLT is focused on “The Power of WE” – the collective strength of Charlotte to come together in times of need. Working with Share Charlotte on November 29th is not limited to just financial donations; providing assistance can also look like donations of time, items, and general advocacy for the organizations working for good in Charlotte.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Founded in New York City by Belfar Center for Innovation and Social Impact in 2012, the intention of Giving Tuesday was to dedicate one day for people to work together to do good – as broad as this can be. The organization has since taken off, becoming an independent nonprofit that continues to inspire millions around the world to collaborate and celebrate generosity for the greater good. With over 260 communities participating worldwide each year, GivingTuesday continues to support individuals who work to make the world a better place, on November 29th and every other day past that.
